Really enjoyed this yesterday. Love what you do eh? Favourite bit was his simple philosophy on what makes a perfect bat. To paraphrase, he just says there's no real reason that people like any particular shape or weight. Based on a mere 40 years experience!

Tony certainly loves what he does. I see him probably 2 to 3 times a month, and he is always enthusiastic about all things cricket, especially bats.

Sounds like a lovely bloke.

"I normal go for something that I know will go well, but not sell well, don't want to waste a good one on me"   -   nice chap.

Sounds like they are using a copying lath too -  I guess that or CAM machine is a must for UK based volume makers.

Wrong stickers for a MP Spartan, looks like the one's Clarke was using here in the ODI series?

It is likely to be from me, so it will be a bat with some fake Spartan stickers on it.

It was one a customer of mine wanted re-handling, I took it to Tony as the customer insisted they wanted to keep the stickers at all costs (the costs presumably being 99p from Ebay) and the heat gun at Hunts is somewhat superior to mine.
