New Bat or Timing Practice??
« on: May 04, 2014, 09:51:38 AM »

Batted 86 balls yesterday for 10!

Now I went in at 2-2 so I had to stick around and rebuild.

I am concerned that the ball did not go far when hit, the outfield was wet and wicket keeping very low. However I am concerned enough about my scoring to post here.

I use a GM 606 which I consider mid range, as mentioned it is a low wicket....... Would I be better of with something custom made with a lowish middle??

Or do I just need to man up and work harder........

On a plus point I limped us towards 70!!! Then we bowled them out for 25 #keepinglow

It's always going to be a new bat on here!

However, possibly worth giving it another couple of innings - outfields and wickets can be very slow, making timing difficult for us mere mortals!

Hi Guys

Cheers for the feedback.

Never been a big hitter.... but thats slow even for me I would like to be around 30 off 86.

I accept its the beginning of the season.

The bat is just under 2.9.

It's early May.....

Wickets are slow, two paced and the outfields (unless you're on a tiny ground) are slow meaning not many boundaries.. Makes a big difference to. Run making this time of year and you can easily tell the small ground teams from their scores,
