I use a heavier bat in nets. By the way my match bat is 2.7

I only net and play with the one bat.  My theory is that your timing and technique adjust to a certain bat and therefore to be at your best you should always use the same bat.

Tennis players have a raft of identical racquets to use for practice and games, however, due to the natural variations of wood that is so much more difficult for cricket bats.  Plus damn expensive for a amateur cricketer!

If I feel comfortable with one bat I will stick with that one but I always try to have a second in my bag, I use it for the bowling machine occasionally because it leaves stains from the synthetic pitches and just a good mindset having a second bat that you're comfortable should something go wrong with the main bat.
