I think he was using a different grille since that incident anyway so makes sense to ditch the lid

I noticed that he had a square of black tape on the back of his lid during the 5th ODI, presumably to cover up a non-GM sponsors logo. Funny how he wouldn't have a backup GM lid in his kit bag...
