I say sponsored grade, as the player it came from never made it as a pro. So shan't say pro grade.
The player, it was 2010, he was stole from us at 17, classed as the next big thing, and got into yorkshires youth set up.
There he was offered sponsorship by shark through the dealings of his college coach.
They gave him a bag, 4gloves sets, 2 pads sets and 4 hammerhead cricket bats,
The bats were not knocked In and he never bothered, 2 he broke, and one he sold to a fellow u17 at our club (which is a gunn bat)
Anyway, his action was classed Injury prone, they tried to change it, he never got there and is back with us as our first teams opening bowler,
Due to the forum I asked what happened to the other 3 bats, 2 broke at Yorkshire, brad has one and others in his shed. Not knocked in so he just replaced it with a gray nics.
So a deal was struck and I acquired it. And he finally dropped it at my house last night,
Not sure weather an u17 would received your prime willow, but surely if you believe he should be sponsored you send him pretty good kit to use??
Anyway the bat, and it isn't a looker IMO.

One to prove the extreme bow

It's ugly spots(or character)

I haven't played with it, but it picks up 2.9/10(which is probably why he told me 2.9 when I asked)
It goes off the mallet low down.
The ball pings low down.
It's less pingy as you get up near the stickers, but it needs knocking in, and I feel it's opening up,
It feels like it will be a special bat indeed, especially for one abandoned In a shed! I'm gonna knock it in, clean the face, scuff sheet, new grip. And see how it feels in the nets.
