I have had 3 of the Lekka big hitters in all - still have one I think.
They are real guns and the basll doesn't stand a chance!  ;) If you play any T20 then these are a great option, as the blade is not that much shorter than standard, and the width is marginally more narrow.

I was very impressed with these Lekka bats overall and surprised how well they picked up and went!
These are similar to a Black Cat Joker, but the Joker I had was a little better.....but cost more!
Have fun with it and I'm sure you'll be clearing some boundaries this season!!  ;)

They are the same size as the joker. And as with the joker, a ball that is hit stays hit.

As such they are narrower, I've the Joker Extreme, as yes, they are real go'ers.

I agree with some points you make on here mate but this is not needed. Not my argument to get into although I do wonder what is the need for this? Feel free to pick apart my post.

Erm, Sorry Tushlar. I don't Fast Eddie was saying anything negative. These type of bats are known to give away width to get bat speed and are therefore go'ers.

Is this Fly bloke James's lost son?

The joker shape is 4 inches wide instead of 4.25 I think it is. So is the lekka big hitter.

I think they are more narrow to make them lighter and still keep a massive and powerful profile!
Don't believe it has anything to do with bat speed?

It may not be on purpose but it's a definate by product, same with mongoose,

The smaller the face of a bat, width or height, the less air it has to push, so bat speed is increased.

This is a marginal side effect abd really should be completely ignored as the variance in mass of the bat its much more important than the effect of the face size on drag.

Any proof it should be ignored?

I guarantee I can get more bats speed with my mmi3 than I can with other bats regardless of weight. (My mmi3 is 2.15)

Given the coefficient of drag of a blunt object is roughly one, and that the force imparted by drag is proportional to velocity squared and cross sectiomal area, a 30% reduction in cross sectional area has a lower impact on drag than a 15% increase in speed.

With the goose, the overall impact of the force created by drag is a marginal increase thanks to greater bat speed.

They key reason for greater bat speed is the change in rotational dynamics caused by creating a more pendulum like shape.

Apologies to Fasteddie then, I misunderstood. I thought he was having a go at Tim's post etc...
