Fellas,

I'm about to purchase some GN Legend batting pads and have noticed that the new ones have the gel cup in the knee. Can anybody tell me which ones are better? The 2013 or 2014 version?

I have the 2014 Legend pads. I was hugely sceptical about the price tag but loved how they looked so took the plunge. They are amazing pads, the most comfortable I have ever owned.
When asking for a comparison I guess the  only people who can give you that is the people selling them, as only people who are very rich or slightly mental would have bought the 2013 and 2014 versions.

There is that but the hardened CBF brand-philes always pop down to their local cricket shop for a look at the new gear - I would do the same if I had a local cricket shop....

I have the 2014 pads also, purely by accident as I ordered the pads from Vitas who got sent these rather than the 2013 model I was expecting. Jake at Vitas has the older model and he said the only difference was the gel pad and I personally can't see it making a huge difference.  All I can compare them to is my Kahuna 1000 pads and they're equally, if not more comfortable however they are narrower.

2014 it is! I'm quite short therefore my knees get most of the abuse!
