From experience;

Slazenger/Kookaburra - Grade 1
Most other brands - Grade 2
Salix/Newbery - Grade 2/3

Depends if you/they are grading on performance or aesthetics.
On aesthetics, 2/3.
On performance- you tell us

We'll assume graded on looks, "performance grading" is a way to sell low grade wood for top end prices!

There lies a conundrum then, why did you buy this bat? I'd rather have a belter from ball one to a straight, 12 grained beauty that took an age to play in then never really gets going?

Well someone has ruined the game haha!
It is indeed!

And I'm honestly confused by GMs grading here.

Two 404s next to each other, one on the left is 2lb11.63, one on the right is 2lb12.75
One has 6 grains and a huge stain, the other has 10 grains and hardly any blemishes, very confused haha

Looks a little like my Slazenger V100.

You would certainly take that for the price of a 404!
