kook bubble 10yr old
« on: March 22, 2014, 02:40:26 PM »

hi folks. I was chatting to a mate a few days ago about the new kook bubbles. how I would like one but coudnt justify the amount of money (playing days coming to an end) it turns out he has one in his loft from his younger days. he also mentioned that it had a crack in the toe but if I could repair it I could have it!!! picked it up this morn and considering its age its in really good condition (apart from the split that is) had a little hit with the mallet and it still has a decent amount of play left in it but that split needs some work. have uploaded some pics for some advice. I really hope that it is fixable!!!!!

apologies if pics are not right. im pretty rubbish when it comes to this sort of thing

In all seriousness i think it will be a glue and clamp job, but it's hard to tell because of the side of the pictures

im guessing all I need to do is prise open the split as best I can insert wood glue then clamp it tight. then sand down when dry? but yeah pics are stupidly large but have no idea how to fix it

You have hosted them on imgur. When selecting the code, click 'large thumbnail' and that should make them a more manageable size.
