Dear god that's hideous. Nice grains mind. I assume the back is graphite? If it's just paint then it look ridiculous.

yes, it is graphite - the willow is luuuurvely - it's a private bin. I guess he's taking weight out of the bat in places that don't really matter - bit like woodworm cutaways. or the shoulderless bats that were around in the 80's.

Yeah, I have to say, it does look rather big, huge in fact. And the heartwood is pretty much perfect, dead straight along the grain.

Nicest shape I've seen on a Laver as it keeps a decent edge size up top. The shoulders certainly look weird, I see it more as a show off bat rather than one to use imagine the remarks you'd get when you walk out to bat

you could really go for the kiwi look and accompany it with Aero soft goods

...and as an extra measure put a pink grip on it and wear a Knight riders helmet!

Well I've just ordered one of these badboys direct from James.

I think it is a thing of beauty. It's gonna be 2.10 ish, with a big profile, and it's meant to be this way for 'big hitting' endeavours. I cannot wait for it to arrive.
