Knocking In
« on: April 25, 2014, 12:52:24 PM »

Well its that time of year.  I am in the process of knocking in my new Vyper bat.

What are other peoples routines?  Edges then toe then a bit on the middle?  Knock in hard from the off or build up power?

How do you pass your time when doing it?  I currently have the IPL slap and giggle on in the background.

Anything else irrelevant to keep me entertained whilst knocking in?  :-[

I just finished knocking in my Goose TORQ Series. 6 grains.

Light sand, oil, leave 1 day
Repeat once.
Light sand, hammer edge facing. Leave 3 days
Heavy mallet so no need to hit too hard, edges 1 hour lightly at 45 degrees. 1 hour on bottom 4 inches.
Face dent in middle and move out to edges and up face. Check with ball mallet. Any seem marks give more knocking until hard.

Pings beautifully now and stored until Aug when training starts.
