Australian Sponsored GM players bats
« on: September 15, 2014, 06:06:42 AM »

I have noticed through the miracle that is social media that some of the Australian sponsored GM players like Alex Doolan , Joe Burns and Travis Head have just recieved there bats for the 2014/15 season and posted pics of them. All of them have been supplied to them without the colour coded ripple grips and just have a white control grip instead. I clearly have too much time on my hands but does any one know why this would be? Do they not like the ripple grips? Personally I favour them ans they are very comfortable.

Travis head hhd ripple grips on his purists last year.  So I can only assume it's a shortage on them same as this time last year.

Also alot of pros will prefer a tried and tested grip set up.  As it feels familiar in there hands.
And to add to that, in shane watson kit bag video. He says he puts a new grip on every innings!
So maybe gm sent them a bag full off grips too.

Wierd that doolan has the old original gloves not the new ones? Unless they aren't released in aus yet.

Yeah , Alot of guys had them on the purist last year but the majority of the players this year are using six6 , icon or mogul without the ripples by the looks of it. I agree though that if its tried and tested then why change. Dont fix it if its not broken.... Unless your Carberry with his kook of course lol
