Scoreboard Numbers
« on: May 20, 2014, 02:15:23 PM »

Am after cheap recommendations for some replacement scoreboard numbers. My clubs have been pinched and we need to try and get a new set before the weekend. I have trawled though all the sites I can think off and am struggling to justify paying £100 plus that most seem to be after.  We need a full set (25 double sided plates) no larger then 9x7inches in size.

Any ideas guys?

Some black plastic and white paint? Got to be the cheapest way?

Laminated card/paper should do the trick to tide you over until you can get what you need i'm sure!

Get someone at your club who is a handyman.

Give him black plastic to cut to size.

Give him a stencil/outline for the number.

Give him a tin of paint.

Job done for <£50 and a pint

literally just finished making up our new set, some black acrylic plastic cut to size and vinyl printed numbers.

40 rectangles from 1 sheet = 8 sets in total cost us less than £50 from a local plastics company.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have just been trawling through the diy stores as I am tempted to have a go myself. I just need to find somewhere near Swindon that can do the acrylic for me.
