Willy Wonty - Even if the bat was checked in person prior to purchasing and bought at a discounted price?? would u or wont u??

The bat was checked prior to purchasing and no crack was noticed. There was also nothing mentioned about a discounted price.  ???

If the buyer was unaware of the crack on purchase, then regardless off discount, or if the seller believes it won't effect the play, he should be offered a refund or a replacement.

It is a damaged product, and the advice of "see how it progresses with use" smell off lekka esque customer services.

Bats take plenty of preparation and time to get into there use. Oil, knocking in, nets to get used to a new blade. If it "progresses" to breaking, then that's wasted time into a season you can't get back.

If it breaks in 6weeks time, will the replacement bat come, oiled, knocked in, and with 6 weeks worth of free nets and games to get it to the same stage as the original? I think not.

This is a non argument. Replace or refund.

Nathan you have a track record of messing with handles and what not.

As I have advised please return the bat, where I will send it off to be assessed.

As I said when I text you I'd like, and feel I'm entitled to a replacement.

To be fair mate I've had a load of bats over the years (I'm mid 30s so showing my age), you can't complain with the seller / bat maker asking it to be returned for a prognosis before passing a judgement on a photo / text (had the same with a GM purist that was repaired and a GN that was replaced). When you take your car in to the garage 1st job is a diagnostic (then normally the bills starts spiralling) - not I think you need a new cylinder. In this case the bb team have not said it won't perform or be gurateed just send it back for a expert review (we are talking about a piece of willow after all).

Take it as a good sign that you've publicised the issue on a thread and unprompted a forum sponsor has said that's one of mine and suggested a plan of attack, seems pretty fair to me. You'd get the same treatment from a shop who'd send it back to the manufacturer.

Why not do as said, and between you resolve this issue either in private (pick up the phone) or via constructive feedback on the verdict - post ping pong is never a good read mate.

bat was sold as a blank bat at a discount and further discussions should take place off the forum.
