Sovereign Cricket Co.
« on: August 07, 2014, 12:22:46 PM »

Hi all,

I've recently come across a new start up (new this year) bat maker, Sovereign Cricket Co.

Website - sovereigncricket.co.uk

From what I can see, their stuff looks first rate.

Anyone had anything to do with them/know more than on their site?

Cheers.

I was going to ask about these. They look fantastic, but I presume they don't make them themselves?

They look like robinson sports.
Also as a cricket site, they need to give options for left/right handed batsmen.  Saves email time!!

Spotted them a while ago - I don't think the website is totally finished hence the RH/LH options (you'd hope not anyway). Softs are definitely Robinsons.

Always suspect when they're using the same bats pictured for both the 5* and 8* ranges, the kit looks nice enough - the bats look very similar to the ones Python were selling, Garrett what do you reckon??

One thing that does annoy is this though: https://www.facebook.com/sovereigncricket/photos/pcb.861637907183742/861637607183772/?type=1&theater - they blatantly don't make the bats themselves so why pretend otherwise??

You need something unique mate. Stay away from initials and animals because they are too many already.

Good pick ups. I know their online store only launched in the last week or so, so I'm thinking the few improvements will come with the maturity of the site.
