It seems like everyone agrees that they would like to see a cleaned up fully professional Jesse Ryder return to do what he does best.
The difference of opinions stems from how much responsibility should Jesse Ryder take for his actions and unfortunately it's 100%. No one apart from himself puts himself into these situations. Maybe he enjoys the attention he gets from being a cult hero, which is probably at least partially because he is seen as a #lad. But, there is a time and a place to enjoy a drink and it is probably not on the eve of a match.
Cricket is a funny sport that does encourage drinking, I've been on cricket tours where the sole purpose is to get wasted (and meet girls, oh and play cricket). I would imagine I am not the only person that has got absolutely hammered on a Friday and woken up hanging and had to play cricket 10 minutes after waking up....

Our overseas knows him fairly well.

Says he is an absolute animal when it comes to drinking but is also a complete and utter liability because of it.

Apparently, he has a habit of upsetting husbands...

Great knock for him today, I am right in thinking it was Ryder who was beaten up outside a night club last year some time right?

Thats correct.
I heard a story from a mate who played with him at a NZ "academy" a few years back. Apparently during a 3 day game he went out on the turps and didn't make it home. The next day, near the ground they were playing at the team found a clearing in a few bushes where the grass had been squashed down. just to the side was a box of KFC and Jesse's wallet. He had slept in the grass and then played that day after he was found. Classic kiwi lad.

Isn't that what the casino is for?
You realise you don't have enough money for anything so play roulette.
If you lose you were walking home anyway so no loss, best case you end up with enough for a trip to the kebab van/McDonalds/KFC while trying to find a taxi home.
