Repairable Crack?
«
on:
July 28, 2014, 12:39:52 PM »
Hi guys,
I want to get your opinion on whether this crack is repairable or not. Bat has had hardly any match use since i bought it nearly 2 year ago. Lent it out to a team mate and this happened....
What do you think, repairable or not?
Thanks

Pretty much everything is repairable, whether it'd be much use afterwards is a different question. It would certainly lose some performance from fixing it in that area but should still be useable

That'll be easily fixed - just get in touch with any of the bat makers on here and they'll be able to help you out, one of my old bats had a similar damage to it and after a quick repair it played as good as ever

This doesn't look good to be honest, crack it going from front to back (generally not repairable)...but this forum have lot of good bat makers, I am sure someone can direct you in right direction.

Agree with the guy above either contact one of the bat makers on this forum or I myself would get in touch with salix (fairly close to me) who have repaired my bat several times throughout the years I've owned it... They are very good but it depends where you live

If you want to have a go at repairing it yourself and do not want to drill and dowel the bat try pouring undiluted PVA glue into the crack and clamp it then leave it for 24 hours then remove excess glue and bind tightly with fibreglass tape.
