If a player wants to play more Tests away from home they can ask their board to request more Tests.

I seem to remember India used to only play 2/4 Tests away from home in every two year cycle a few years ago.

Players like Tendulkar and Dravid almost demanded that the BCCI get then longer overseas tours.

As you'll now know, India play 4/5 Tests vs England, 4 Tests vs Australia and are supposed to play 4 Tests vs SA(but they never do)

Sri Lanka are happy just to hide at home.

SL don't draw the gate receipts that India, SA and Aus do,  and as much as these boards may protest,  they'd far rather play each other in longer series. Whether sanga wants to play overseas holds little sway.

That may be the case, I just wanted to highlight the fact that the list is not split evenly.

On average

Home would get 50%

3/8 of the rest in Asia

5/8 rest not in Asia.

They could up the number of 'away' tests, but how many countries would want to do that when they get better revenue from the bigger countries???

So no 100 in the sub continent is worth anything to you? Ive heard it all.

Brings my maths into question when all you do is google stats and then type them into a calculator.

I'm just curious Gerry, is there a batsman who scores more hundreds away from home? (actuall question) Can you type it into google for me and let me know. And answer my question. Do you think the SA team discuss Sanga at their team meetings or not?

All these statistics that Gerry 'Troll' SA brings in! And when the statistics flatter his argument they are spot on.
And yet when the stats contradict him, they are not spot on! Some would say that you can't have it both ways. But Gerry being the absolute joke he is, likes to try!!

By the way, I am sure that SA will win a prize worth winning in Cricket at some point in time - they do have class players and deserve some success after all.
But I wonder if Gerry would mind stating the statistics for why SA always seem to choke when playing in important competitions? And what percentage of Gerry gets frustrated and annoyed every time they do choke?
