So a few days ago i shared with you all the thread on my broken Kookaburra from Cam Boyce

So after searching the net for a product and speaking with my "chippy" mates  i have come up with this


purchased off http://www.e6000.com.au/ based in Inner Brisbane, I will be sanding down my kookaburra and applying this adhesive today in a bid to save such a special bat.

Just used the e6000 on my kooka and clamped it in, pics are below
I opened the cracks up slightly by twisting the handle which allowed me to get the spray deep into the crack.

clamping for 24 hours as recommended by the company for the glue to fully cure









Hopefully can save this pearler of a bat

Have just taken the clamps off and the glue as noticeably made the crack smaller, i have however found a few other cracks i did not see the other day so i need to glue and clamp them and then i will take some pics

Ok so i have un-clamped my kooka, The E6000 has done its job, no matter how hard i try i cannot open the cracks from where they are.

There are still i few cracks present which i have just glued and clamped after these pics were taken.
I will then put 37mm fibre glass tape around the top of the bat to hold it all in. Hopefully can get it to last a few months.

Possibly, the cracks are below where the binding would finish so probably not, i like the non bound handle on this one but isnt for all sticks, is a good idea though and another excuse to use the e6000 for the binding but i dont think i will as i would need to source the binding. probably some fibre glass tape on the base of the handle to hold it all in

My match bat started doing this, I glued it like you, but I also added extra binding all the way down to the start of the blade. It hasn''t had any impact on performance and the cracks havent opened up again. I can snap a picture later if you want.
