This is my first post in nearly three years I think.. but anyway, I discovered my beloved H4L had a crack through the toe, so i decided it was about time to get a new bat. I didn't want to spend that much as im going to Uni this year. So thought i would try OnlineStockist as i had got gloves there before which were great. The bat cost £130 posted to Northern  Ireland, But then ended up costing and extra £17 in Vat, So £147 in total. It took just about two weeks to come, and one week of that was in customs. I had asked ajit to send the lightest one he had as im not massive only being 5'8. So that bat i got has 13/14 grains, no blemishes on the face and weighs in at 2lb 8.4oz. Its not knocked in oiled or oiled yet. And the edges are 38 at their largest. Also i only just weighed my H4L fo the first time and to my surprise it weighed 2lb 12.2oz, i had thought it was around 2lb 8oz for the last three years lol  :o .

It looks very nice, I hope it brings you lots of runs. However, I suspect that due to its place of origin and the displayed weight for a relatively large bat it's probably very dry ( around 9-10% moisture content). As you mentioned it was not oiled I would therefore suggest you let it acclimatise and gain a bit of moisture over the winter before you oil it at the start of the season. I would leave it in a dark wardrobe or 'dry' garage away from any central heating. If not you risk some premature damage due to it being brittle.

Lovely bat that, I'd be tempted to leave it in a bathroom for a week to get some moisture into it personally but that's just me.

Out overseas had an SF this year and it went like a tramp on meth!
