Do most clubs tend to have their main sponsor on all their kit or just the match day kit?
I'm looking to to something for this year to get more money into the club by offering a training kit sponsor to another company, hoping to get more money for this instead of just our standard package for 250 quid.

We've got our main sponsor on out match day, T20 & training shirts.
We have a seperate sponsor on our Accademy training shirts.

Ok so this can work. With your academy does that reduce the cost of what those people pay or is that just for the sponsorship and the money goes towards the club?

I think our accademy players paid less for their training shirts than the "main sponsors" training shirts (don't quote me on that though!)
I'm guessing the sponsorship went towards substidising the cost, in exchange for their logo going on the front of the kit.

The best thing to do instead of writing things on here, is write to loads of local businesses, with a club headed document, nicely worded etc etc, asking for sponsorship.
Design a shirt, with a company logo on the front and one on the sleeve. Different price point for different exposure. Then theres the possiblity of having something on the back of a training jacket. We went through it all last year, and unless you start planning now, it never gets completed

Oh, and it's a lot more difficult than you think to actually get people to part with money

I know it is, I have been our sponsorship secretary for over a year now and out of the companies i approach for sponsorship i reckon only 10% will sponsor, if that.
I have started now and have had a little success thankfully. The only problem now is that i think because we have already had our kit for a year we would have to start something new to get a new sponsor on a training kit. The 1st team training kit has already been done from last year so it will be tough to get a company on that. We don't have tracksuits yet though which would be good to get something on.

Company stickers for the back of bats?
Anyone photographed could then hold it up for the camera.
