Lazza , I am also in Perth and I tend to agree with your line of thought. I should have said I prefer to play on the front foot but that doesn't really mean I dont use other shots where necessary. We do have some of the bounciest wickets in the world I would agree but playing all my cricket on turf wickets in perth here particularly you get some absolute belters that are flat tracks (like a road) but you get the odd dead spinner friendly deck that will give good shot value in front or square of the wicket too. As for my other GM bats... I have been using primarily a Icon F2 SRW Original LE that I found once it opened up the middle was a little too high for me but in saying that I can see why they are so popular in WA with our bounce for the past couple of seasons in matches and also a Ocatne F2 909 for T20 cricket which I have to say I have never seen a bad Octane. Its a huge bat with a huge profile and the one I have is 2.9 which I found ideal. I am a bit of a hoarder of my old GM bats and as such still have my old Catalyst and Purist even going back to my old Maestro from younger days and have a memory with all of them which is really good.
