shoes - slazenger aero d30

These do look a lot better than other slazs and are on for 33 at sports direct but even cheaper on the bay. Anyone had any experience of these I am thinking of these or NB4040.

Picked some up in the Sports Direct sale the other week for £9. Not played in them yet but tried them on and they feel very comfy and light. Looking forward to wearing them!

They 39 now.

Saw them in local sports direct. Nothing special and felt a bit cheap but still a bargain if bought under £20.

ohh and really light too when compared to 22Yds.

Bought these for £35 delivered from Nottinghamshire to Brisbane on the basis of the D30 top protection claims. Arrived today. Pros, they're cheap, light and look good (similar to Asics). Cons, the so-called D30 toe protection must be so revolutionary that its impact reducing qualities must be inversely proportional to the force applied because I dropped a ball on my toe from waist height and it was no more protective than a pair of pleather trainers, material cheap, and not that comfortable. The pro at my club broke his toe recently. When I broke my toe (and was looking for toe protection) everybody said that's what your bat is for. There's definitely a market for better toe protection even if it's just to help rehab or shorten your time out of the game.

Yes got this for £9.99 during the deal time. Seems decent but nothing extra ordinary. You can buy if it costs less than £25.

Aero D30 were priced 23.00 in my local sports direct this morning nearly brought a pair but the plastic bottoms put me off.

which cricket shoe would people say is most like a running shoe.

from a usabililty point of view rather than visual looks i meant.

i like a good spongy feel under foot, the joints are starting to creak.

I'm thinking of getting these myself. I've currently got the adidas sl 22's but for some reason I struggle in them.( after the surgery on my foot last year) I've changed insoles countless times to no avail.The last pair I had that were comfortable were the asics 335.I think for £20 it's worth a shot

If you've got foot problems, the last thing i would recommend is a cheap pair of shoes.

If Asics work, why not get some of those? We will have 2015 stock coming in soon.

the last thing you want is a full on running shoe type feel then! my asics gel advance are similar in feel to a good pair of running shoes, which is why I bought them, but they're dead thin in the soles. suspect you mean more of a support trainer type feel? think some of the all-rounder aimed asics are like that, and they are the footwear kings for more or less all sports so you can definitely trust the support insoles.

A really good insole can improve a old pair of footwear. I use sofsole arch support which are really squishy and comfy in the field all day, though a bit thick and may add a few extra grams over the stock insoles. Some of the most fanatical runners I know buy a decent running shoe and then buy a decent insole, working on the premise that the insoles provided are really only the starting point for a general fit whereas there are lots of different sorts of insoles for all sorts of feet and needs.
