This is my BAS shadow LE apologies for the rubbish iPhone pics

Appreciate its a personal preference but I've used a SS and prefer the BAS a all round, pickup and responsiveness

BAS were the brand that removed any negative opinion I have about Asian bats!
If you find a good one (and there are many good ones!) then they are equal to almost any bat!

This is what I have always thought of as a traditional Indian shape.  I first came across BAS bats like this about 15 years ago when a friend started to act as an agent.

Note,  no concaving and a strikingly similar shape to the one we now call ST shape. This also has the vampire stamps in the edge,  before they marketed BAS as heavily.

It also comes with a heavy pick up.

Love the old Vampire branded ones!
A touring side that used to visit us from India brought a load over and sell them to our members. All big bats with ping a plenty and little or no concaving. Not light mind. One or two are still going even though this was at least 10 years ago

Why do most indian bats have a square toe?  I've never quite understood why they don't just round off the toe like most English based manufacturers do?
