Ouch, that must be a costly hit for Masuri after all the research they'll have put into it

Agreed, i thought the active peak was their real advancement with the new model which set it apart from the old masuri style?

Wasnt dipsuting if they were nice, just commenting as to why more pro's hadnt adopted to them and i would imagine the extra weight would effect the feel to some people.

I actually want to try one of these on but none of the cricket shops i went into last season had any
My mate got one of the titanium ones as soon as they came out, vision wise they're the same as the old style, comfort is good if you ignore they fact they weigh a ton!
I do like that they're easier to adjust the fit than the older model, and the ventilation does seem to be improved.

I think the safety offered by the standard peak system is so good, that the extra price for the active peak can not be justified even if it is a clever design. The active peak model has a retail price of of £250, which is pretty steep.

So what was the perceived weak point with the old lid then, the grille?

Sorry I think you may have misunderstood - what I was trying to say, was the safety offered by the new standard peak system of the new helmets is so good, that the extra price for the active peak cannot be justified.

Overall I think its good to see that after all the negativity surrounding the design of the Masuri helmets when they were first launched, they have been accepted and we are starting to see them on more batsmen.

There is room to add your club name in the order if they already have your badge/club set up. Otherwise do what i did. Purchase the helmet then once you get your order confirmation reply to it with the image of your club badge. After a few days they send you a sample, if you agree to it they send it off to Masuri to be made. Just a word of warning if you are expecting the 14 day turn around this wont happen. I put my order in on the 30th of last month got an email from all rounder after about a week stating Masuri are behind on orders because they have just finished the massive Big bash orders, therefore it will be with me mid December. Not all-rounders fault obviously as Masuri call the shots. Really looking forward to getting mine though.

You would have to send your badge by email to Allrounder Cricket who would then order this on the helmets to be delivered.
