Couple of new purchases
« on: November 20, 2014, 03:37:41 PM »

While I'm stuck at work I'd thought I'd share a couple of pics of my new purchases from B3.

After a bit of a clear out of old kit I was on the hunt for some new bats that wouldn't break the bank and turned up these which for the money paid I'm really happy with.

After an initial problem with one of the clefts selected, Streaky was really quick to rectify this and the speed from order to delivery was excellent once again.

Looking forward to some new softs soon  :)

haven't you just got rid of B3 gear if you are the same chap from Elland on Ebay.

How is the performance and pickup, and price if you don't mind sharing.

Shapes look nice and full, grain wise average I think.

I did, but only to make way for some new shiny purchases  :D

Pickup feels good in my opinion, was looking for something a bit lighter and these fit the bill.

Price wise I felt they were competetive for the grade, grains present.

What's the story with the bat with no stripes? And what profiles did you go for (profile shots would be great)?

The no stripe was taken direct off the shelf and tapped up better than some of the better looking ones in my opinion. I believe it is not one of the standard series shapes but could be wrong about that hence no additional stickers on there which personally I think look good.

The yellow one was originally meant to be a butterfly cleft but due to an issue with it I was sent this replacement, which I am really pleased with. The shape is one of the professional ones (naming no names!)  ;) but the 'lighter' version.  It came graded like that. Again this taps up really nicely.
