Also, don't forget that you pay to play so have fun!! Scoring 20-30 week in week out is something quite a few biffers can only dream about! Try to improve yes, but never forget you are there because you are giving up your own time, your own money.. So whatever you do, enjoy it.

Felix reading the posts on here there's already some good points Guru James its a mental thing Buzzes suggestion and Typewriters providing stability to your team.
However with you having the ability to score 20s and 30s with the right mindset there is no reason why you cannot push on as you have already done the hard work so for me as a Sports psychology  coach the  problem is a mental thing.
As for the T20match and pie chuckers  just forget it as it is easy to fail when you put yourself under pressure.
Also you could  as your innings progresses pick your bat up higher and increase your bat speed and if possible take the pressure off yourself by  batting with a stroke maker and don't forget batting  is about partnerships.
Good luck.

Agree with that. Well remember one knock when I was going very well and my batting partner had a chat with me between overs: 'You're going well so I'm going to give you as much of the strike as possible.'
We couldn't get it off the square for a couple of overs after that!
I told him to go back to plan A and the runs started flowing again (for both of us).

I know what you mean and I find that can be easy to forget, I admit some of my more grinding efforts probably don't give me any more pleasure than my onlookers. I do think that if I was given some help to find a method to keep the scoreboard ticking over - not necessarily clearing the boundary every other ball, i am realistic! - I would get much more satisfaction from my saturdays. And I still think that's a technical more than mental thing.
