Just wanted to say a big thanks to jake at vitas.... Again. Always sorts me out with great gear.



I decided I liked the new gunn and moore gear, and always wanted an octane. So took advantage off his pre order discounts.



And boy am I happy, despite us taking a wild guess on a pick up 4 being around 2.14 to suit. A whole heap off mess by GM meant that my bat came bang on 2.14(I.e they didn't send a pre ordered pick up 4 to jake, he had words, so they made one especially and to weight!!)
So cheers for that jake spot on.







I'm pretty happy with this bat, for an 808 the looks are decent, I've had worse looking originals. And the feel and ping are good, it does not feel over pressed like many gms.









And I prefer these stickers to last years octane stickers.




Pads and gloves, love the design and colour. Pads are rough heavier than I'm used to but not to much, and a very comfy. Feel good off mallet,
The gloves although comfy and great looking are once again a tad baggy, just like last years originals I bought, despite Ed Lowry claiming there mens size were smaller this year.
They aren't unusable though. Infact ism tarting to get used to them.

And once again, thanks Jake. Spot on service. And great hospitality, as I went in to collect the octane, due to working int he area, and he was very welcoming as I chewed his ear off for 2hrs.
Robin looked a tad wary of me mind, but then I do currently look like a hobo! Haha.

Too high middle for me, I use a chevron and octopus grip set up, so a yellow grip be going on to help match.

Gear is off high quality, well impressed.

Are the 808 LE softs roughly the same spec as the Original Limited Edition? (E.g padded straps etc.)

They both run the poron xd, but I've not paid that much attention to the ole's so can't really answer that.

Those pads look lovely! Good looking bat for the grade too and best of all it's in a mans weight!!

Agree on the gloves. Got some of the original light blue gloves with potion and whilst my first pair of GM gloves felt baggy. Might just be me getting used to them and might need to wear infers for my feebly small hands

My GM 808 gloves are noticeably bigger than several pairs of GN gloves I have previously owned and the SS Test gloves I've just purchased.

Ooh those pads look lovely and god they are heavy but that shouldn't be an issue for you.

The set looks incomplete without a GM duffle.

Just had a run out with the gear at Dotball.

Despite. The pads being nearly 200g heavy than my maverick elites. They didn't feel it.
Still comfy. And protection good. Didn't feel a thing. Straps could be a tad shorter. But then I do have skinny legs.

Gloves are a tad baggy. And actually lost grip on the bat a 2 time because of. Not too drastic though. 

The bat oh the bat. Well please with it. Good pick up and feel. No vibrations through handle. And seems to ping.
In fact.  Compared to the six6 and purist I had last year. The pressing seems alot bbetter.ot already feels like it's opening up. With which they really didn't after several nets.

I hit about 150 balls though.
