What i would give to be a young boy again
« on: April 02, 2015, 10:46:21 AM »

A lovely family were in last night, and the lucky lads mother kindly offered to pay for the vast majority of the bat he really wanted. This stunning Harrow F18 Limited Edition. After some tense moments with him working out how many bags of sweets, or call of duty vouchers, or cigarettes (not sure what the kids are into these days) he would have to go without over the coming weeks he agreed. I told him i would have snapped my mums arm off when i was his age if she offered me a deal where i could get a top of the line bat using hardly any of my own money! I had to make do with a ropey old slazenger V100 Panther, poly armoured!

And here it is, I'm just about to start knocking her in. All that bat at just 2'3!

A top of the line harrow! Lucky so and so having his mother pay most of it too, kids don't know they're born these days!

As for what they're into I think it's sausages, at least the ones who loiter outside my local corner shop always ask me to buy for them. I have no idea why they couldn't just go in and buy their own pack of Richmond though...

I'd like to be 18 again, with the mind of a 43 year old.

Ohhh! the things I could do.

Damn... that's sweet... If only it was an Academy sized bat I would have ripped it out of his hands... :-[

Lucky little fella. Nice grainage on that one. Hope he rewards his Mum with a hatful of runs.
I like the look of those F18s. I was thinking about getting a 'Blade' version as a net bat. Nicely balanced middle on 'em. Bet they pick up sweetly.

I reckon I could score runs with that.
