Possible to swap handles?
« on: December 28, 2014, 10:54:32 AM »

Had a new handle put in my bat over last winter but I'm a bit disappointed with the outcome. Just don't get the same feeling through my shots as I did with the previous handle.

However I have a damaged GN Oblivion bat (that was left in our changing rooms) but the handle still feels really nice on it so wondering on the practicalities of getting that handle transferred into my bat. I know some will say why not get a new bat but the shape of my bat is very unique and I simply want a more responsive handle in it.

Give it time to loosen, new handles are just that, stiff and new.

New handles can be stiff and need time to break in, there is a why to do this. But the forum go crazy when suggested.......

It's not always practical to swop handles particularly between different models due to the vees in the blade  being diferent.

Why don't you put it in a vice and flex it to loosen up?? Handles need time to play in as well as the blade

Or you could lay the bat level  on the  on the  floor cover the handle   and GENTLY tread on the handle.

Somewhat thick of me as I hadn't considered that!!! I will try gently standing on it.
