kookaburra kahuna 1250 v 1000 and sizing
« on: May 20, 2015, 07:02:01 AM »

Really don't need another pair of mits but want some  :D

I used to love my kook silver's so may have a go on the lovely looking kahunas. Has anybody actually tried both the 1250s and 1000s on and could tell me the difference? Also how do they size? I have quite a slim but long hand and fluctuate between men's and OSM. Would normally want to try them on but IJC don't stock and I'm a million miles from anywhere else I reckon.

Thanks in advance

What I'm confused about is why in the AUS versions, both these and the players have octopus palms but in the UK the 1000s have pimples, and only the top two have octo?
Why the 2 here, and 3 there?

If you read the specs on the kook website they don't even seem to know the difference, Jos Butler uses both apparently.

But yet still I am worried I may miss out if I skimp on the extra 250

Well they're both longer cut in the UK, unlike Aus, but one has octo and the other doesn't, so i think the choice is obvious really. I think they are overpriced compared to similar quality competitors from other companies as well, so the 1000s will drop in sales i think, but who am i to judge?  ;)

Thanks Greeny, that was the only difference I could see too, do prefer octopus but not sure if it is worth £20.

I know what you mean about value, I just always got on well with the cut of the Kookaburras. Currently got a pair of Vantage that I love but are getting past it.

I need to try a few pairs on really, does anyone know if the oval shop is:

a) Still open
b) Open today/tomorrow (cant find times online)
c) Well stocked

Cheers
