Cicada cricket
« on: March 17, 2015, 06:04:35 PM »

Evening guys

I have been offered a generous sponsorship for the coming season from Cicada cricket, and I was wondering if anybody has used their equipment, bats, softs anything before ?

How does it compare to B&S? another make which I am interested in purchasing from, however matching the sponsorship Cicada have offered will be incredibly difficult.

Thanks guys any advice will be welcomed

Ive used their gloves a lot, a lot of top gloves are the same. Pittards, soft fill etc. The lads in there are top blokes though so they'll look after you

Just out of interest, what discount so you can claim you're sponsored "sponsorship" did they offer?

@horseman I had a "sponsorship" from Woodstock once.

It didn't make me score more runs, nor my manhood bigger and I wasn't any more attractive to women.
Neither me or woodstock benefited from it really...  ;)

I'm not bragging in any way just after some advice on the quality of the kit.  I don't want to discuss any numbers on the discussion but if will discuss over direct message.  Obviously haven't given me a full 100% sponsorship but it's a very good offer compared to some of the others I have received

I play minor counties and I coach about 400 kids so they feel I can reach a lot of children for advertisement and shift some kit.

I'm still waiting for "the sexy Asian beauty" who popped up in a chat window to deliver those to me.
She hasn't contacted me since i sent my credit card details though, must be due to the time difference...

How could such a thing be possible?

I have used all the Cicada gear and it was very good. Not sure if it still is but all the clefts were Hunts County. Not sure who actually makes the bats.

A good friend of the clubs and Barnsley CC's Pro is also sponsored by them and has been for many years. He has been very happy with it all.

I can probably source some pics of my gear if required. Send me a PM.

Robinsons make the bats and softs.

I think they also provide the juice at drinks breaks!

Not heard of them before
But well done to them for offering a sponsorship and to you for getting it.
