I wish I had applied the old adage that if something looks to good to be true then it probably is, oh well live and learn, at least now I know that not only will I never step foot inside a sports direct, I will also never be troubling their interweb sales again.

Bearing in mind the advert shows the Duplex and the text describes it and you have paid what they ask then surely you have a case for demanding they provide what they advertised?

Have you contacted SD about this - what did they say?

they conveniently don't have a contact number so I have sent them a salty email which will probably take them a week to respond to and when they eventually do they will likely inform me that there is a clause in their t and c's that allow them to wriggle out of honouring the transaction.

Yeah, know what you mean - but Amazon may take a dim view of misleading adverts.....

How about this one from SD for a great contradiction in the title- how can it be G3 if it is a 909 which GM says is  "Unbleached seasoned Grade 1 English Willow"  :o

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gunn-Moore-English-Willow-Cricket/dp/B00LSRP7RA/ref=sr_1_2?m=APZGI6OQCC5PX&s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1426504765&sr=1-2

The people writing these adverts really dont have a clue.

Make sure you don't order.  Some major issues with their listings on Amazon.  I also received a 606 wheelie bag and although the Icon 909 bat I ordered has not arrived yet, the invoice that came with the bag shows that I ordered a Six6 404 bat?!!!  >:(

Assuming people have ordered these items previously and received something different, I don't understand why they haven't written a review that explains that to warn other people viewing these offers??

Good point. Do a search on SD and then I think there will be mixed reviews I'm afraid. The problem is the old saying of 'if it's too good to be true, it usually is' because actually 'it isn't always!' and they do deliver, or at least they did for me. I got those Slazenger Aeros super cheap and I'm really chuffed.

While these prices do fail the too good to be true test, in the past Sports Direct has not had these issues - well not that has been reported on here that I remember. I am quite surprised.
As they are a UK retailer - you will at least be able to get all your money back and return the item

The prices did look a great deal - but as for "too good to be true" they have done some amazing discounts in the past and the stock was low on the bat so could have been real.

Anyway it looks like they made a mistake as they have just changed the description and photos for both items
