My Kit 2015
« on: April 06, 2015, 01:45:04 PM »

My kit for 2015 please note i'm no collector just use it.

I will be hopefully playing 70 plus games this season

Bats, left to right (Sorry for grip disorder people i just whack them on really).

B3 SM5 "Mullanator 2-13 made from 410 density T20 blaster i hope was original made sample taps up very well i like it it has 41mm edge and 72mm spine

B3 "Tonto" Red  2-7 Simply impressive Bat massive uglier than it sister next door but man this bat has caught my eye indoor nets and will be starting big bat 38mm edges 68mm spine full profile nil concaving over 400 overs through it on the machine.

B3 "Tonto" yellow, 2-7 Same spec as above big bat my all time favourite shape 29 grains looks the great just not had time to use properly yet only hit 5 balls with it.

Jedi "LE" 2-9 Got this because of nostalgia due to one of the godfathers of custom bats Alfred Evans last apprentice makes them and nice bat it is too...  40mm edges and a 64mm spine very nice indeed.

B3"Zizi" 2-7 and a half with thin grip. I love this bat and would be my match bat until the "tonto" game it has a outsatnding pick up for a convex middle profile 40mm edges 50mm spine.

B3 "1271" My all time favourite bat been battered might get another look in.

order 1271,mull,tonto,tonto,jedi,zizi

Pads

Blank Bats White ball cricket pads good lightweight pad usual Ranson quality.

B3 New 2015 version lovely as good as any pad i have used and i have used more pads than bats nearly.

Ton "test opener" Better quality Pu than the whiteouts people are buying now including the ones i sold Cam. Nice pads indeed.

Gloves

B3 2015 version as good as any slight change than the samples next to them
B3 2015 Samples Nice not quite the finished articles supple and comfy.
B3 2014 Splits my old match glove i love them i will use till they rip...
B3 2014 Sausage I like these net gloves and spare pair.

Protection

Remfry Thigh inner and outer. Best i have used and i have used all the others too Strettons are great but i find fixed velcro a better fit but it all personal opinion. Had these 5 years i think now

Stretton Fox Armguard I prefer it to Remfry lighter and comfier just feels better. (Thanks to @123* for it).

GN Pro Performance For indoor practice only  first chest guard i have used for the short ball and find it serves it purpose.

Helmet.

Shrey Masterclass Titanium I like it does thew job got a new Masuri coming in team colours Red so should be interesting

Keeping Gear

B3 2015 gloves different vendor and in my opinion a better fitting osm all the way.
B3 Pads I like the youths with no padding extra as i feel you have gloves to do protect you.

All my kit minus my

B3 big bag and my New Balance Spikes

Cheers mate yes I love the shape I asked for no boneing of the edges to maintain a flatter face. Never bothered or liked heartwood before but it not noticed any negativity from it bat a odd surface crack.

What a lovely living room! Gorgeous stuff, really impressive kit mate.

Your 1271 was fabulous until you got it altered and screwed it up.

Must say B3 new softs are fabulous, top notch. Which was expected from someone like Ross, very knowledgeable.

70 Games!!!!!!!????? How do you manage that in 1 season? the max i would be able to play is 15. Whaaaaat???

we have 18 sat league games, 7 sat friendlies either side, 12 sunday league games, 13 sunday friendlies either side, 7 t20 cup league games (plus up to 2 more for semi + final if you get there (we got to semi in 2014), 10 t20 wed league games, 7 touring side midweek games, 2-6 curtis bennett cup games /9usually6 as weve won it 2013 and 14), county cup msunday games (1-5 games (we played 5 last year as we won it))..

total being around 87 games IF we got to every final and didnt lose any to rain/cancellations.

thats ust with one club, personally i then play games for other teams touring midweek teams, mcc, gypsies, arabs etc (usually around 15 more games)

potential for well over 100 games. can be done if you play more than just sat league

70 is a estimated guess but as playing is part of my job through the summer I guess I could stretch it out a tad more.

I didn't know you was a MCC playing member Adi I'm putting in my application this year after getting a area manager to sponsor me.

I guess I could play more but I may not have wife and kids by that stage

The kit looks great. Nice look to the softs as well and good to see different shapes within the bats! Lots of grains and straight which I like.
