never used or seen anyone using them. But i think there was one on this forum and saw one being used by a West Indian cricketer during the WI-ENG series earlier this year (think it was Edwards)

hi all, a bloke who i played against last year used a crown bat.

although i didnt see the bat close up it pinged quite nicely as he smashed 50 off about 30 against us, just hitting everything. This bloke had 3 hundreds in a row including a 140 during the 09 season, so he obviously has some abilty, but the bat cant have been too bad

hope this helps for now

Well a nice little package was waiting for me when I got home. I had ordered a kit for a teammate (As I love bats I have to honor to order all bats for my teammates)

First of all Chris is a very nice guy to deal with, contacted him about 10 days ago (yes and I already have the stuff, shipping took 4 days) and he got back to me the next day. Sent me a few pics of clefts to chose from. Chose the lightest cleft he had. The softs are decent, could have an improvement.

the specs for this bat - SSH - Oval, 2.8, low middle, quick ping test the ping is pretty nice.. will update after using in nets..

the pick up is really nice.. profile is a decent size to for the weight..

really well balanced.. even with the low middle doesn't feel bottom heavy.. impressed with the finish of the bat.. the pics don't really show its true beauty.. I think the flash mess it up will try a few more pics without the flash..

Is the weight of the bat 2.8 before stickrs etc applied? If so what does it weigh now?

I've got one aswell mate, lovely bats.  Give it a few nets/games and it will really come into its own.
