Odd question!
« on: May 21, 2015, 08:58:45 PM »

If Team A beats team B with one wicket remaining but team A only fielded 10 players, does team A win by one or two wickets?

One. The innings is closed at all out, so I believe it's treated like 10 wickets have been taken.

It would be classed as winning by 2 wickets, as team B have only taken 8 wickets.

would it be winning by 2 wickets though when you only had 10 players? I think it is winning by 1 wicket but the computer probably doesn't know the situation and just goes with that.

Mortimer is correct, what if score was passed 3 down, it wouldn't change to 4 down just because you were 1 short.

Because you need to have enough balls remaining to take all the wickets.

If then 10 man team lose their last wicket (9th man out) on the last ball of the game, I don't think that is classed as a win (in draw cricket).
