Now a Jumbo is a thing of beauty compared to Nick's 'Frankenbat'!!!!

C'mon Dave - get streaky to shape up a Jumbo and show it on here - loads of us would buy it, I might even if I was sober!

Yeah I have to agree with @FattusCattus on this one but that's one ugly looking bat you got there haha  :D It's the way the spine goes into the handle and lack of shoulder that puts me off but I guess it's something unique that no one else will have, I hope you get many a run with it!

Fair play. He did his research and got what he ordered. The proof will be in the scoring. As for shoulders, surely they only need to be big enough to not break on the occasional impact, and having the weight in the spine makes for the pick up and high middle wanted. I would prefer this Frankenbat (tho the name does it disjustice) in this weight to some of the flat faced ultra concaved, thick edged fare that I have seen trying to get down to a skinny 2lb 7oz.

Here's my butterfly along with my refurb.  After picking cleft 13 from the offer it was unfortunately identified that it had a very minor crack down one edge and was therefore quickly replaced by Streaky to this one.  I'm really happy with the shape (Gaz Cross) and the response is excellent on initial tapping up.  Due to the slight damage to the original cleft, I've purchased it at a reduced price today so should have it by Thursday (Thanks to Streaky for the offer!).  I've been told it should still play fine and should hopefully serve well as a back up / wet weather bat.

Also I know it's been said before but the new stickers look class.

Once again the service by B3 has been excellent. Let's hope there's plenty of runs in these now!  :)

Not a bad replacement. It would have been snapped up quickly if in the first round!

Im getting red on black and have red on blue already in the embossed. New stickers are excellent. I like the red on black with a red grip, looks mean. Using red on blue with a red gm shock absorba grip, but looking at your colour scheme,  I like the blue grip better. Pity i cant find the gm shock absorba in that colour. Definitely don't like the clear on black much.

I have no patience waiting for it arrive lol. Arghhhh.

Edit: just purchased gm control and ripple in that exact blue.

Good stuff.  I'll post a pic of the original bat when I receive this (fingers crossed) tomorrow.  Then I'll have double the knocking in to be getting on with!  :D

Got back off holiday today and took another snap to better show the profile, I'm pleased to say it's a bit easier on the eye than the original photos indicated (even I was having my doubts):-

Having had a bit more time to wave it around and knock it in I have some further conclusions. Firstly, the pickup is great, almost featherlite, and it swings very easily. I could easily go up another oz in this spec. The handle feels terrific, chunky and oval at the bottom, feels very nice to encourage correct lower hand play. Starting to knock it in and that butterfly stain does certainly ping. Interesting that there is some element of ping even down to the b3 sticker near the toe, further than I thought. The response near the sticker at the splice is so so, partly due to a blemish just under the sticker but just below it still feels good. Bouncing a ball on it and the response seems even better and coverage wider, which is a good sign. I have only done 30-60 mins knocking in so it's early days.
