Has anyone used a duffle bag to travel?
« on: June 08, 2015, 01:40:19 PM »

I love my Kook 2015 Pro Players Duffle, but am not sure if I should use to transport my kit while flying.

Cons: 1 - not as solid a support base for bats as in my wheelie bags. 2 - lots of loose straps and mesh that could get messed up and ripped during transit.

Pros: Awesome bag to use once I'm actually at my destination (London - where there will be a lot of train use).

Any thoughts? If anyone has used a duffle to transport kit, whats the best way to pack it, given the lack of a solid support base that is there in wheelie bags?

I've got the same bag mate but I can't help as I've only used it traveling from my car to the club house. I suppose for the straps you could try and tape them together and then tape the straps to the bag so they don't flap about.

You could always use the bag-wrap machines they have at the airports, few quid and they'll wrap it up in a heavy duty cling film type material - you wouldn't need to worry about the straps being torn to pieces during transit then.

Not sure what else to suggest!!

Good suggestions. What about the bats? Are they ok without the extra hard plastic base under wheelie bags?
