My recent purchase
« on: July 26, 2015, 08:25:43 PM »

Got this lovely bat from one of the local Canadian retailers. Has had 2 coats of oil and just starting to knock it in. Pings well, weight 2'9 and exact same shape and dimensions as my RPC which weighs in at 2'11. Here are some pics.

Bat looks great. Is it brand new? The grip has moved about a bit if it is.
May it bring you many runs!

Looks good Tushar. The best thing about SS for me is the consistency, even in the mid-range bats. That is probably unmatched

Lovely pronounced grains Tush. Hopefully the sign of a good bit of wood.

Thanks @Alvaro exactly what I saw/thought when I saw it too :)

@dougydee yeah the grip has rolled up a bit as this bat was purchased by someone else who then returned it as they didn't like it, considering they never used it I find that incredible. Been swung around in the shop a bit.

@suraj1108 yes same as GM ripple grip but with SS branding on it.

@tushar sehgal How is the bat overall compared to RPC?

Too early to tell mate. Shape, size and pick-up are identicle (RPC is 2'11 with 2 grips one of them being the GM ripple ones) and this one is 2'9. Ping wise the SS feels pretty good with a mallet but RPC is fully knocked and used in matches so at the moment RPC is way ahead of this one but I think they will be equal once ready.
