Some conflicting views here but plenty of suggestions of manufacturers! Buzz you play hockey too? Out of interest what sort of profile do you find suits you best? And I'm torn between b3, stac or another hawk... however red ink seem top notch and may take a punt at a mail order! ;) Also I heard solitaire had a bad rep?

Ive never even seen a solitaire ......... what sort of reputation do they have?

Surely a bat is only as good as the person wielding it??

Had a few Solitaires during my youth - very decent bats but they were always a lot heavier than I asked for. I've got a feeling this problem has been solved however (didn't have electronic scales until recently I believe!).

For the price Roger charges you'll struggle to do better anywhere else.

I would have suggested Red Ink if you had not stated Worcs etc there's been some crackers on here recently also John usually gives a discount to forum members.

I've heard solitaire always send you a bat about 2-3oz overweight... only do one profile and their customer service is poor. This is only what I've gathered from others though, I've not personally dealt with them. But that is the reputation they have round here (staffs leagues)

And I'm torn between a few manufacturers, think I'll message a few see what their opinions are etc. Then take it from there! Whatever the decision I'll post what I get up on here...

Cheers for all the advice fellas
