Ayrtek Helmet Models
« on: September 06, 2010, 02:04:11 PM »

Thought i would stick up a quick topic that explianed the differences between the two different models that we offer at the moment on the website....

A few people have asked about them so will give a quick review below, both models have the same ACIS liner, chin strap etc the main difference lies in the material the shell is made from.

Elite Model @ £99

This model features a carbon fibre/kevlar shell which is where the strength:weight ratio is at its best, both shells are made via the same method off the same tool so they appear identical once sprayed etc. The only difference you will notice is when picking them up as the Elite helmet is approx 80g lighter than the Premier helmet.

Premier Model @ £79

This model has a fibreglass/kevlar shell and features the same liner technology as the Elite model but is heavier due to the fact it doesnt have the carbon fibre being used in its construction.

Tom, would i be right in saying that the two models mentioned above at the price stated come with a steel grille and not a titanium one?

Ian.... yes that correct, with the technology involved in the ACIS we couldnt justify including a titanium grill at those prices due to the UK manufacturing costs involved in making the helmets.

There is a forum offer however which gets you a free titanium grill included with any purchase ;)

That's a good deal considering titanium has increased in price!  8)

Ian...this was an offer open to Premium members....you may need to speak to Leo about becoming one as I think those that joined up are awaiting their "goody bag" still. The 20% off soft applies to the website RRP's + P&P though the webshop.
