Thanks Steaky for the interesting read. I'm always willing to learn more.

Just wondering, this bat failed last season after about 10 seasons use. I'm not going to demand a refund from the supplier but is this storm damage or it has just dried out? Maybe hard to tell from a photo but I'm looking forward to hear what you think.

The fracture doesnt look that characteristic of a typical storm damage, this looks like it as fractured under fatigue (a little bit at a time).

Thanks for sharing the knowledge on this topic. I recently bought this beauty but I see a line that goes throughout the blade. Is this related to storm damage by any chance?

Great read, would be interesting to see how many clefts bat makers lose a season due to this and other types of damage

It's hard to tell from the photo's but I am going to say I dont think this is a compressions crease. There are things called Rays which are naturally occuring and do not effect the bat in anyway.
