With regards to RS gears, I really don't think they can be beaten on quality (regardless of the price!) - the softs are as good as anything I've used.

In a strange twist of fate I have also bought a youth bundle from Raw Cricket for No 2 son.
Very impressed with quality of kit & got 10% off too.
Softs one of the best I've seen for juniors and the bat goes under the mallet, has a great profile but really is pretty fugly

With regards to the origins of their bats - someone (I'm presuming a forumite!) actually called them out on it on FB a few weeks back (which naturally got deleted lol). Went along the lines of the usual "we have the best bats available on the market today", the reply was "better than hunts?" to which they admitted all the blades were now imported (presume RS) - not knocking RS bats as I had a few samples previously and they were very nice, but the prices are a joke compared to what you can get elsewhere (think the cricket shed sells the top grade for about 200? 300+ on raw!) - bearing in mind they only cost about 130 with all the import duty inc... 

@t2ylo - not sure if you're aware, but the junior bundle bat is Kashmir (unless you paid for the upgrade). Might wanna watch out if your lad is gunna be using hard balls!

Yes it's Kashmir willow - he's a junior bat forum fan who often shouts "come and see the grains in this one!!!"
So naturally he has a match bat (Jedi), last years match bat (GM) and Raw one for fun
In truth it taps up well under the mallet
