My newbery refurb
« on: November 06, 2015, 09:42:47 PM »

Hi all,
It was whilst I was searching for details on refurbing my samurai sps that I stumbled upon you good people here. Anyway not only did I find what I needed you also introduced me to the 'cadbury' newbery stickers. Whilst these are old news for the most of you for someone who has only used a purple grip in 20 years of playing and missing this excited me a little. So I sent my bat off to newbery and asked for these stickers not expecting too much. But when the bat came back I was so pleased I felt the need to share the results with someone who might care ( my wife doesn't understand!!). So thanks for the inspiration and apologies for the picture quality .

Every time I see Newbery Cadbury stickers, I get a little too excited.

Lovely. An elegant classic. That look will never date.

Looks brand new. How old is the original bat? I never used to look at Newbery as a youngster because of price.

I know I couldn't believe it when it came back like that.  I almost contemplated selling to see how much it would go for! I got it in 2008 only used it on Saturdays for 2 seasons, then family commitments meant I missed 2010, used it Saturday's only in 2011 but didn't play again until this season but I couldn't buy a run! It's probably scored around 1500 altogether I've added a couple more pictures that I couldn't get to upload before
