New Pad Advice
« on: July 19, 2015, 07:50:41 PM »

Hi Guys,
Just looking for some advice on some new pads, the main things i am looking for would be comfort when netting in shorts e.g. comfy straps and fairly light.
Budget would be around £50/60 and protection wise im not too bothered as i face bowling around the 70mph mark rarely over that
Any suggestions ? and i would interested to see what some of the sponsors have to offer?

Go to a shop. Try some pads on. Best way to do it.

Check out our mid season sale. Sirius pads fit the bill perfectly. Great protection with padded straps for when batting in shorts. Amazing price too

I've got the Uzi Sports black mamba pads.  Light with lots of protection!

Browsing the internet during a break at work, I came across this bit of 'pad choice' research which may be of interest.
http://www.batexbattingtips.com/blog/47-batting-pad-tips
Essentially, they suggest that the width of pads is a more significant issue for running speed than the weight. Until we try a pad on, we don't know how well if fits around the leg - all the more reason to try pads on, if at all possible.
