Worth an EBay punt?
« on: November 26, 2015, 11:21:25 AM »

Hi guys,

Everyone has to start somewhere, but would you take a punt on this from an EBay seller with no reviews?

Cheers

I saw it the other day but the bat looks unfinished. Not sure if the guy is a genuine bat maker and given that there are no previous reviews, i would give it a miss even for £50.
A lot of people have purchased bats recently with the Sports direct selling bats for around £20 odd and most of those have now appeared on Ebay. You can probably go for one of those for less than £50.

Personally no  also you can get equally  as good bats from sellers with 100 percent reviews for around the same money.

It looks as if these are imported pakistani bats plus it is clear that the bat in the picture isn't what you are going to get.

So what that means is you best bet is to say I like the price, message the guy and ask to see pictures of the bats he has an pick one.

Defo pay with paypal though to ensure you can get your money back if you get conned

Might be my eyes, but is the spine of the one pictured off centre?  Looks to be over too far left

Most genuine sellers i have encountered in eBay are the ones who buy as well as sell. This dude doesn't have any buying history at all. Stay away from this one ...

At around £60 - £90, you have the chance of buying plenty of decent second-handers on here (when you have enough posts), or maybe the odd special offer from a forum sponsor (Vitas, Mongoose etc). Far less likely to get your fingers burnt!

Better safe than sorry was my initial thoughts on the posting.

Heres hoping Santa knows I've been an extra good boy this year and brings me something nice!
