Bargain GN kit from ebay
« on: December 07, 2015, 09:00:14 PM »

Saw this listing a while ago and thought if it went for the starting price of £40 would be a miracle. Anyway had notice it was finishing via eBay app and still didn't bid but went with no bids, contacted after and managed to get this bundle for £35 plus £10 postage

Bat- GN Nitro pro performance weight is 2.7, now needs some oil as very dry and it has a small crack on inside edge but inky hairline nothing major. No logo on edges but not sure if they had stamped edges then or the sticker? Fairly full profile and spine all the way into the toe. Taps up incredibly well and like the minimal look with stickers removed, just need to sand her done and give her a drive or two
Gloves - 2 pairs of Powerbow test gloves RH men's these are my favourite ever gloves just love them and seem to last ages, one of the pairs are almost like new
Pads - GN predator pro performance men's RH in good condition and traditional pads with minimal colour.

Overall Bargain time

That bat is ridiculously nice! Have a load of stickers been removed?
Glue the crack, give the face a light sand to get rid of the ball marks and wack a scuffs heron it Chris.

Also I'm curious as to what the back of the pads looks like (including the straps)...  :-[

Yea or moved the blue stickers that ran up the back and the nitro pro performance stickers, back of pads is just like the oblivion test pads I sold you with the colours being silver that's it mate.
What is it with you and pad straps lol, oh and grips, grip tape, lol

I was thinking if there was only one Gray Nicolls logo on the back straps, the the tags only being sewn onto the front you could easily make them "pro issue" haha. Leave the logo on the top hat of the front pad and the shin of the back pad and tell everyone they're player issue
I'm taking my fake sponsorship idea way too far now...

Speaking of grips and grip tape I was thinking how nice the bat would look with a white grip and a strip of thin black grip tape  :D

That's exactly the grip set up it will have as the grip needs replacing.

As per the pads far to much effort for me mate. Will take me ages to get round to sanding no doubt lol.

That is a real bargain. Bat looks awesome and best part is its ready to play. May have to oil or put a facesheet.

Fantastic value - well spotted.
I shall have to widen my Ebay searches...

That bat looks lovely - full shape, good grains and only 2lb 7oz gives scope for oil, a second grip (if needed), toe guard and scuff sheet without becoming heavy.

I am envious.

To answer  the stamp or stickers question I had a Nitro and the edges were stickers.
