batting in a squash court
« on: January 03, 2016, 04:49:58 PM »

Was talking to the missus about how Bradman used to hit a golf ball with a stump against the wall when she then gave me the idea of doing something similar in a squash court.

You could use a middlng bat and a golf ball sized soft ball and just hit it against the wall. I'm quite keen to try but cant think of a suitable ball, as a squash ball, even the beginner ones only become bouncier once a few rallies have been completed. Obviously quite hard to do if your on your own.

Anyone got any suggestions on what to use? Has anyone esle tried this?

A racquetball? is a touch bigger than a squash ball and bounces quite a bit more.

Powerball, now that would seriously sort your footwork out!

You can get some really small tennis balls, basically golf ball size.  I got some from sports direct. A while ago but haven't seen any more since but I'm sure they must still be made?

A lot of places sell these as dog toys, i know i have a pack or two from petsathome. Apparently for the dog but getting my eye in is more important.
