Chaps, was there ever a GM Autograph bat? (No, not the tiny things you sign.) I can't find a reference to it anywhere.

Yes, years ago.  I think Steve Waugh used one at one point.  It was around the time of the Diamond.  I think it came in original, professional and select grades.

From memory my dad had a gm autograph.  It was from the 60's or 70's!

This is Steve Waugh in 1993. Although the autograph was a GM brand for years. But yes this was around the time of the diamond and when Gatting got 'Warned' using a maestro. Anyway, you can make out 'Autograph' on the back and it does show the profile

Village plaster around the handle

Us English will have to gloss over the mountain of runs he got in 1993 with that bat.
It was the bat of course not the player as we all know.. :)

Thanks chaps. Good knowledge.
I saw that bat on ebay and didn't recognise it. Doesn't look vintage. Puzzling.
