Woodworm Flame or Torch Premier
« on: February 12, 2016, 10:42:26 PM »

Did anyone ever have a Woodworm Flame Premier or Torch Premier in a SH? Don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh, only measly junior bat sizes!! I had a Harrow flame back in the day, but wanted to see if they did actually get made!! Didn't think it was worth putting it in the vintage bats thread as its only from the early 2000s, bit from the 90s or late 80s.

I got given a Premier Torch as a replacement bat when they lost my Gold MegaBite! I still regret picking that over a Kook Blade!

Bought a Torch and Flame Premier edition, both in SH. Were cracking bats from memory, they both had over 1000 runs from them, (Scored by my friends that bought them off me) and had just the general wear and tear cracks that come with bats. The Torch had a thicker oval handle than the Flame, and a low swell, while the Flame was more of a mid swell with a thinner handle. (I think it was oval too)

I'm in the same boat as you mate, I really want a torch just to add to my collection. Can't seem to find one anywhere though!!

@Sivlar13 I've currently got both listed on Gumtree mate.  They're very very rare in senior SH size these days!

I had a Flame and a Torch in SH but I don't remember if they were Premier grade or not though, the Flame in particular was a weapon.

Our opener used mine up until last season when due to a crack in the toe it became more tape than bat haha

I've still got one, it's the Torch (Is that the one KP used? Yellow stickers), absolute gun of a bat. Just amuses me how tiny the edges are on it now in comparison to bats being made today. Haven't used it in a good 7-8 years but it is in decent nick, probably nothing a coat of oil won't fix...
